Moving Michigan Forward knows your right to privacy is important, especially online. This privacy policy has been created to answer any questions you may have regarding MMF’s data collection and protection policies.

What information is being collected at

The only personal information collected is information you give us. We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to our newsletter, make a contribution, respond to a survey or fill out a form. When registering or contributing on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, occupation or employer. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. You do not have to provide this information – we only ask that you do so that we can better communicate with you!

We ask that children under 18 do not submit their information. In accordance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), does not knowingly collect information from children. In accordance with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), MMF will never knowingly collect personal identifiable information from persons thirteen years old or younger.

How is the information collected at used?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

When you make contributions to MMF that aggregate to more than $200, federal law requires us to use our “best efforts” to collect your name, mailing address, employer, and occupation.

MMF may share information — that you voluntarily provide us — with like-minded organizations. MMF may provide your email address or other personal information to authorized third parties required to deliver a particular service. These third parties may not use said information for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for MMF.

If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you may receive emails that may include organization news, political updates, issue briefs or action alerts, etc.

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving MMF emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
